Carmella Solari
Carmella Solari’s home was a place where there was always food cooking and people gathering. Families, neighbors and children were always running in and out to grab the latest batch of biscotti, heat up a dish of last night’s spaghetti, or snag a stack of pancakes on Sunday morning. That is the essence of Carmella’s Cafe & Dessert Bar.
Brian and Tiffany Solari – Owners
Brian and Tiffany met and were married in Charleston, SC where they now raise three boys, Miles, Maxx, and Briggs. Coming from similar backgrounds, they shared a common passion for food, family, and very loud and rowdy environments.
Concept
Brian’s goal for Carmella’s was to bring to life the ideals of the “Italian Piazza” where groups of people come together to reconnect with their community over the finest things life has to offer. The greatest part of our lives are our relationships with people, and the goal of the Carmella’s concept is to bring the community together over the best Italian fare there is to offer in Charleston in an environment that is comfortable and invigorating.
This Place Is Heaven On Earth
We were told by a wonderful grandmother (soon to be in-law to the Bride we were celebrating) “always eat dessert first, so you never have to worry if you’ll have room after dinner!” So, we came to Carmella’s and did just that. This was actually my second time here (I couldn’t remember the name since it had been a long while) and I was thrilled to be back with 10 friends who had never been! We of course, came before our dinner reservation, and it was magically delicious! We ordered a round of cocktails and shared the cannoli cake and the funfetti cheesecake. Both desserts were scrumptious. Highly recommend!!
